TANKS
ASME X
Molded Contact
Winding Filament
Made of reinforced fiberglass (FRP Tipo II) ASME X.
Machine Rolled
Our Tanks
MANUFACTURED USING ONE OF THE THREE METHODS ALLOWED BY THE ASME SECTION X CODE
COPIISA OFFSHORE can manufacture using any of these methods, but the Molded Contact method is the best fit for our pressure vessel industry, meeting the needs of our clients.
Mexico markets ASME Section X Type II Fiberglass Reinforced Tanks, but these are imported, which increases costs. However, this import cost is eliminated with us.

Hydrostatic Test
Our ASME Section X tanks meet the highest quality standards. To achieve this, they undergo numerous tests and certifications, including a hydrostatic test conducted simultaneously with an acoustic test, certified by Sentro Technologies.

Acoustic Testing
The manufacturing of our ASME Section X tanks always uses the best materials. Another of our certifications from Sentro Technologies is for acoustic emissions testing under controlled hydrostatic pressurization.
advantages
Design pressures range from 6 kg/cm² to 15 kg/cm², with diameters of up to 4.5 meters and heights of nearly 10 meters.
The average lifespan of these tanks is 40 years.
They are highly resistant to both internal and external corrosion.
Our Experience
- We have over 10 years of experience manufacturing ASME Section X FRP Type II tanks.
- The inspection agency BVQI One Cis, contracted by ASME, verifies the entire process and authorizes records and tests throughout production.
- We have a partnership with Vitrofibras del Sureste, a company specialized in fiberglass structure manufacturing.
- We are the only ones in Mexico approved by ASME and NB (National Board) for the fabrication of FRP pressure tanks.
- At COPIISA, we are required by ASME Section X for FRP tanks to send our resins and synthetic fibers to specialized laboratories in compliance with ASTM D 3030/D 3039M Standard Test Method for Tensile Properties of Polymer Matrix Composite Materials, to be approved for use in tank manufacturing.
